Manohara

Last updated: 13 October 2026

This page covers two things: the Manohara desktop app for macOS and Windows, and this website.[Company legal name] ("we", "us") is responsible for both. Our address is [registered address].

The app

Manohara is offline-first. Your projects, assets and renders stay in a library folder on your computer. The app sends nothing to us. It has no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting and no account.

The app starts a local engine that listens on 127.0.0.1, which only your own computer can reach. Your own AI agent (Claude, Codex or another client that speaks MCP) connects to that engine. This is "bring your own agent": we do not run, see or store those conversations. What your agent provider does with them is covered by that provider's own terms and privacy policy.

The app bundles its interface fonts, so it does not download fonts at startup. If you add or import a file, it is copied into your library on your computer. We do not receive it.

If a future version adds any network feature, such as licence checks or updates, this page will say so before it ships.

This website

Waitlist. If you join the waitlist we store:

This is stored in a database at Cloudflare (D1). We use it to tell you when Manohara is ready, and for nothing else. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We keep your details until launch communications are finished or you ask us to delete them.

Analytics. The site uses PostHog (US cloud) for product analytics: page views, page leaves, clicks, which showcase film is opened, whether a waitlist signup worked, and unhandled browser errors. The browser sends this through our own domain, which relays it to PostHog. PostHog sees your IP address to work out your approximate location. When you join the waitlist, we also send a signup event to PostHog from our server, tied to an internal waitlist number and your country, source and referrer. PostHog acts as our processor. Analytics only runs where it has been configured for the site.

Hosting. The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests, including IP addresses, to serve and protect it.

Payments. Paid licences are not on sale yet. When they are, payments will be handled by our payment provider, Dodo Payments, which acts as merchant of record. It collects your payment details and billing information under its own privacy policy. We do not see your card number.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers named above (Cloudflare, PostHog and, once payments open, Dodo Payments) so they can run the services we use them for, or where the law requires it. Some of these providers are based outside your country, including in the United States.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, delete or export your data, or object to how we use it. Email [contact email] and we will reply within a reasonable time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This site and app are not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes
